We acquired two Airbus A310 and one Airbus A300-600 in 2022. Those aircraft were parted out respectively by Tarmac in Tarbes and Airborne in Bangkok.

Operation of an Airbus A300-600 freighter

We have been operating the Airbus A300-600 freighter with registration T7-ASK since 2020, together with our partner San Marino Executive Aviation.

Since then, we have :

  • operated more than 6000 hours
  • participated in the China-Europe airbridge for mask transport during COVID
  • flown to Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle-East
  • and most importantly…. have had an impressive liability record.

The aircraft is offered for wet-lease or charters.

From VIP A310 to spare parts

This is the most demanding project we have handled in 2018 : investing in a VIP-configured A310, flying it to its final recycling destination in Germany and removing all valuable components.

After carefully exploring all the options, we chose to dismantle this aircraft to maximize the return on investment. As beautiful as she may have been in her VIP-configuration, it would have taken a long immobilization to find a potential buyer. This was definitely not the case for her components, from which we could soon evaluate the commercial potential.

 

How did we handle this project

We started the process at the beginning of 2018 by inspecting the aircraft at the seller’s location and assessing its value. After the deal was finalized with the seller, the aircraft was ferried to Paderborn and placed in the hands of German Aircraft Maintenance with a list of 1800 components to be removed.

After a few weeks, all that was left of the aircraft was the aluminium fuselage. Which will of course be recycled.

First leased freighter for a Bangladesh airline

As demand for cargo grows fast in Asia, a big conglomerate is looking for an A300-600 freighter to lease.

At the same time, a global leader in aircraft leasing is planning to sell the last of its Airbus A300-600 freighter on the market. The aircraft is being re-delivered to the Lessor at the end of the lease period with a turkish cargo operator.

 

Wait a minute !

 

By founding a common ground for the parties, Aero-Sky helped this aircraft fly a few more years under the Lessor’s ownership.

The aircraft now happily fulfills its cargo mission in South-East Asia !

Same aircraft, play again !

Initially, the aircraft was acquired in 2014 through Aero-Sky by a UAE start up airline to start cargo services from Dubai to destinations in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as Russia and CIS countries.

After some difficulties, the start-up abandoned plans to launch service operations and decided to sell the aircraft.

It was time for Aero-Sky to find a new buyer for the freighter.

Mission accomplished : This aircraft is now enjoying a new life in Lybia,

First investment into an end-of-life aircraft

After trying to identify the best possible freighter for one of our clients, we have finally found the perfect aircraft for their operation. A 1998-vintage A300-600F which was stored in the United Arab Emirates (story here)

Surprise ! The coveted aircraft was sold together with an unserviceable sistership.

 

What could we possibly do with an unserviceable aircraft located in Abu Dhabi ? Well, we decided to buy the aircraft ourselves and part it out.

Problem : the aircraft can’t fly so we can’t use the services of well-known european aircraft recycling companies.

Solution : Part it out on the spot at the maintenance facility !

Sending a team for complete control

For a few weeks, our team supervised the local provider. We managed to dismantle, sort and pack the removed aircraft components, which were later sent to our warehouse in Turkey. Many challenges arose from this first operation, but in the end, all parts arrived safely in Istanbul and are now available for sale. You can request for a quote here.
